RIOTA/AOTA Affiliation Statement
The Rhode Island Occupational Therapy Association (RIOTA) is a non-profit, organization serving Occupational Therapy professionals and consumers in Rhode Island.
RIOTA is an affiliate of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). AOTA is Occupational Therapy’s national member organization.
RIOTA and AOTA share many basic values and initiatives, often work collaboratively on projects, but operate independently.
Representative Assembly
The AOTA Representative Assembly (RA) is the regulatory body of AOTA and responsible for proposing, reviewing, voting on and approving policies and procedures of the American Occupational Therapy Association. It holds regular virtual or in person meetings throughout the year.
